The planner that grades your day.

Procrastination can't hide from data.

Most apps help you make a plan. Ikiru measures what really happened: how long each task took against your estimate, what interrupted you, and how much of what mattered got done. Every day ends with a score from 0 to 100.

Nothing fancy. Pure productivity.

Invite-only beta. Works in your browser, on desktop and phone.

06:00The problem

You plan every morning. At night you still can't say how the day really went.

You hear it everywhere, and you've probably said it yourself. To-do lists grow. Calendars fill up. Then a call runs long, three messages land, and the plan quietly dissolves. You end the day tired, with no record of where the hours went and no way to plan tomorrow any better.

01

“My to-do list never ends.”

Ikiru: Five critical tasks a day. Everything else waits in the backlog.

02

“I plan everything. Then I procrastinate.”

Ikiru: 10-minute blocks, a live timer and a score that shows if you followed through.

03

“Everything takes longer than I think.”

Ikiru: Estimated vs. real time, task by task, so your guesses get sharper.

04

“Where did my day go?”

Ikiru: Unplanned work gets its own lane, counted to the minute.

05

“Busy all day, but not productive.”

Ikiru: One score every night and a month of proof that you're moving.

09:00The guide

I didn't need another to-do list. I needed to know where my hours went, and whether my best days looked the way I thought they did.

2021

Paper and PDFs. Five priorities a day, written by hand, and an honest look at the evening.

2022–2025

A template refined every single day. Estimated time, real time, unplanned work and an impact rating for each task.

2026

Ikiru. The same method, built as an app that measures it for you and turns every day into data.

12:00The method

Three steps. Every day. The same rules.

Ikiru is a method before it is an app. It asks for a few honest decisions in the morning and gives you the numbers at night.

01

Choose five. Not fifty.

Name the five critical tasks that would make today a good day and rate their impact. Everything else goes to the backlog.

02

Block it in 10-minute cells.

One hour is six blocks. Paint each task onto the timeline, estimate it, and start the timer when you begin.

03

Close the day with a score.

Ikiru weighs what you finished by impact, checks your estimates and logs the interruptions. You get one number and the reasons behind it.

18:00The data

The numbers you never saw. Until now.

A planner tells you what you meant to do. Ikiru tells you what you did, how long it really took, and what kept getting in the way.

22:00The stakes

Every day you don't measure looks exactly like the last one.

Without numbers

Another year of busy days.

  • Estimates that are wrong in the same way, every week.
  • Interruptions nobody counts, so nothing changes.
  • A feeling of progress with nothing to back it up.
With Ikiru

Days that add up to something.

  • You know your real hours and where they go.
  • Your estimates get sharper every week, because you can see them.
  • Your month shows the person you are becoming, in data.

Not to be busy. To live, on purpose.

Ikiru means "to live". The app is built around one idea: your time is your life, so it deserves more than a guess. One hour, six blocks, measured with honesty.
